JCC on Northaven in Dallas: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30 AM

Price: $135 ($10 discount for registering before the first day of class)
Beat the Heat is an 8-week program designed for anyone who wants to train for a 5K. The evening and early bird Beat the Heat 101 classes have different levels of run/walk paces, and the 201 classes have different levels of all running paces. In the early bird Beat the Heat 101 classes, participants must be able to run at a minimum of 4:1 run/walk ratio to enter the class. The requirement in the evening 101 classes is a minimum of 2:1 run/walk ratio. The minimum to enter the evening classes is a 2:1 run/walk ratio. The groups in the evening and early bird Beat the Heat 201 classes will run continually. Discussion topics include injury prevention, stretching, form, cross training, racing, shoes, apparel and much more.

Registration can be completed on-line at GetMeRegistered.com. Forms are available at all of the four Run On! stores, and a registration form is also available on this website. Print the form, complete it, and return it to one of the Run On! stores.
