Welcome to Run On!

Training Tip #20:
Sign Up NOW for a Local Race

Local races are a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Signing up for a 5K in the future will give you something to work toward. If you're not a veteran of local races, give yourself 6 weeks to get ready. Nobody is required to run a race, you know. You can walk part or all of it and have plenty of company. Wondering where to find a local race? See our calendar.

If you're feeling adventuresome, sign up for a half marathon or even a marathon. Just remember to give yourself plenty of time to get ready. That may take you several months. If you don't know how to get started or what a sensible training program might be, join a class. Run On! has classes for people of all conditions & speeds. We have classes for all goal distances too. Learn more.

There are other reasons to sign up for races. Do a race for charity.
Helping kids with diabetes or women with breast cancer makes it much
easier to get out the door.
