What Class Should I Sign Up For |
What class should I sign up for?
Running 101 is for beginners. We have 3 levels of run/walk groups.
Running 201 is for those who can run a 5K. This is where we start to
incorporate speed and hill training
Running 301 builds base mileage to 9 miles (preparation for Rock class)
and increases endurance. this class is for those that can run or run/walk a 5K and would
like to improve mileage base.
Half Marathon Class for people who can run 30 minutes without stopping,
or run/walk (run 4 minutes, walk 1).
Marathon Class is for people who can run 90 minutes. We also have a
run/walk group.
Early Bird Class (Running 101/201) is for people who like to get their
workout done in the morning. We meet at 5:30 a.m. at the Jewish Community
Center.
Speed Class is for runners who want to improve their 5K-10K times.

New Friday Morning Drill Class |
Drill Class is a weekly workout to build
core strength, gain speed and power, and increase mobility, stability, and balance.The class meets every Friday morning at the
Hillcrest High School track. Classes are $5 each or you can buy a punch card that
gives you 12 classes for $50. Come and try your first class for Free.

Speed Class |
The Speed Class is a three phase program
designed to improve your 5K and 10K race performance. Workouts to improve your speed
include base building, strength, form & mechanics, running economy, hill &
repetition training, intervals, ladders, threshold running, sharpening.Fees: Each six-week phase costs $90 separately.
All three classes cost $225 (no other discounts apply).
Mockingbird, Coppell, & McKinney classes
are on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 7:15
pm.
Richardson classes are on Mondays and Thursdays beginning
at 7:15 pm.
Early Bird morning class will meet at the
corner of Thackery and Park, Coppell on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 5:30

Our Early Fall Marathon
Class also begins on May 25. The Early Marathon Class is designed to prepare you for
October and early November Marathons. Portland, Chicago, Twin Cities, St. George,
Columbus, Marine Corps, New York City and many more.
The Late 2008 Marathon Class will prepare you to run the
White Rock Marathon, Las Vegas Marathon, or other late November or December
marathons. You should be able to run for 90 minutes to begin these classes.
This training begins on July 13.
The Spring Marathon Class will prepare you to run marathons
in April and May, such as the Big D Texas Marathon & Half, the Paris Marathon, the St.
Louis Marathon & Half, London, Boston, Country Music, Big Sur, OK City, and Flying Pig
Marathons.
Classes meet at Mockingbird on Sundays at 5:30 am (Early Fall
Marathons) or at 6:00 am (Late Fall Marathons) for a long run and at a choice of
locations for an informal track or tempo workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning
at 5:00 or 5:30 am.

Trot On! Class |
The
TrotOn! Class is a 7 week program designed to prepare
you for the YMCA Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. The Turkey Trot is one of the
largest running events in the metroplex and is a great family tradition in the Dallas
running community. The class has beginner groups to prepare for the 3M fun
run. Discussion topics include injury prevention, stretching, form, cross training,
racing, shoes, apparel and much more. To learn more about the race itself,

Trot to the Rock!

The Trot to the Rock! Class is a 9 week
program designed to prepare you for the YMCA Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day and
beyond. At the end of class, you will not only be ready for the 8 mile race at the
Turkey Trot, but also for the relay in the White Rock Marathon. Plus you'll be ready
to move on into the Spring Marathon/Half Marathon Class.Mockingbird, Coppell, & McKinney classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning
at 7:15 pm.
Richardson classes are on Mondays and Thursdays beginning
at 7:15 pm.
Sunday morning long runs for participants
